SyncBackFree is the free edition of a family of powerful and advanced backup and synchronization tools. Though free, this tool offers a full set of standard and advanced features for both beginners and experts. You can backup or synchronize your files and folders between local and remote locations or even between remote folders via FTP protocol.
SyncBackFree provides a backup/synchronization method based on profiles, which means that you can configure and maintain multiple synchronization tasks. To create a profile, the program offers you a specialized window that behaves like a wizard. It allows you to provide a name for the new profile, select the profile type among backup, synchronize and mirror, and select whether you want to synchronize local folders and/or remote locations.
As soon as your profile is created, a new window titled "Profile Setup" launches and allows you to configure your new profile's details. For example, you can set the source/destination folders, schedule the profile to be executed automatically in a daily, weekly or monthly basis, change the profile type and configure the FTP parameters, among other tasks. This window, however, can be toggled between the simple and the expert views.
